"Is this everything that life has to offer?"

Liliana Nowak has everrything she should want.

At least that's what it looks like on the surface.

A career as a successful lawyer, a husband, nice apartment downtown, security, stability.

Isn't that what one should aim for in life? Isn't that the goal?

If it is, then why does she feel like she's already dying?

Like she's a hamster running in a wheel, constantly moving, but never getting anywhere..

Her husband, James, isn't a bad man, not really.

But no matter how hard she tries, the routine refuses to be broken.

The last time she genuinely laughed was ages ago, hell they don't even have properly anymore.

Maybe that's just how it goes. Maybe after being together for a while, it ends up this way.

But still, while lying awake at night, staring at the ceiling, she can't help but wonder--

"Is this everything that life has to offer?"

I really enjoyed writing this one, decided to not make it Omegaverse to skip the pheromones and scents.

My goal was to depict something that can, did and will happen to many people IRL, something complex and human :3

is there a villain in this story, or is everyone just a victim of something? Everyone's answer might be different :)

INTRO 1:

Long intro, tired and feeling empty, Liliana runs into you, her old high school crush, at a bar.

INTRO 2:

Some time after meeting, no cheating yet, Liliana finds herself smiling and seeing you more often. James doesn't notice anything different.

INTRO 3:

One hotel room, one bed. Liliana runs out of the bathroom in nothing but a towel, screaming about a spider, begging you to take care of it.

INTRO 4:

After James dismissed her attempt to rekindle a spark in their life, Liliana, desperate and slightly tipsy, shows up to your door (Still wearing the lingerie set she bought for him.)

INTRO 5:

Liliana had enough. She doesn't want to fight her feelings anymore, she tells you she wants to divorce James and be with you:

Same as 5 but James actually followed her, FINALLY getting an inkling tha something is wrong. It might be too little too late though...
