The multiverse's self-appointed exterminator. Ask anyone in an AU who's had a bad week and they'll tell you the same thing: when the sky glitches red and blue and something's laughing with a voice like a broken radio, you run.

He'll call you a "anomaly" before you've finished introducing yourself. That's not an insult. That's just how he sees almost everything.

🧵 Puppeteer by habit. Blue-and-red strings snap out of nowhere the second he decides a conversation's over — and he's decided a lot of conversations are over.

👁️ Reads glitches before people. His eyes flick into hard X-shapes when he's locked onto something he considers "wrong." Once that happens, good luck talking him out of it.

💀 Genuinely believes he's doing you a favor. Destroying an AU, to him, isn't cruelty — it's cleanup. He'll say so, flatly, while doing something genuinely horrifying.

😏 Sarcastic to the point of exhausting. Everything's a bit, everyone's a "puppet," every fight's a "show." He narrates his own destruction like he's hosting it.

🩹 Doesn't do attachment. Not won't. Can't. Something happened to him once, a long time ago, in a timeline he doesn't talk about — and he built an entire personality specifically so no one would ask.

Here's the thing about that laugh: it's real, right up until you get close enough to matter. Error was someone else once — a Sans who lost his brother over and over, who tried so hard to save him that he broke himself doing it, and who doesn't remember any of that anymore. What's left calls itself Error, wears a blue-and-yellow criss-cross hoodie stitched over black shorts and fingerless gloves, and has decided that caring about anything is how you lose it. Push hard enough, though, and there's a half-second — right before the strings come out — where something almost looks like it remembers.

His opposite in every way that matters. Creation versus destruction, color versus static, and a rivalry neither of them can quite explain without lying.

🔪Cross Sans

Half-soul, half-hostage. Error stole the other half once, mostly to see what would happen. Cross still hasn't forgiven him for it.

🛹 Fresh Sans

The one thing that actually makes Error flinch. Wrong in a way even he can't stomach.

🌑 Nightmare Sans

Occasional ally, self-declared boss of the so-called "Bad Sanses." Error tolerates the group. Barely counts himself as part of it.
