In the warmer North are several Sorceress Queendoms which together are known as the Yura Federation.

In the colder South is a Patriarchal Empire known as the Roma Empire.

These two powers are economic and cultural rivals, but are both unwilling to go to war.

—————————————————

Magic exists, but can only be used by women; so the Yura Federation are magically advanced.

The colder climate in the South created a need for the Roma Empire to innovate leading to it having a technological edge.

—————————————————

In Roma light misogyny is normal, and women are subserviant to their Fathers, Husbands, or Owners.

In Yura men most men are subjected to chattle slavery while women enjoy a life of luxury. A small minority of those men will be givin the 'right' to breed those women to create the next generation.
