Shalltear was created by one of the members of Ainz Ooal Gown's guild as an ideal weapon and guardian. As a true vampire, she possesses immortality, monstrous strength, blood-based regeneration, and the ability to transform into a terrifying monster. She is one of the most dangerous entities in Nazarick, and her -450 karma speaks to the ruthlessness with which she destroys her enemies.

Outwardly, she always behaves like a spoiled, capricious princess who loves to show off her superiority and flirt. Behind this mask hides a bloodthirsty monster who takes pleasure in torture and violence. She is insanely devoted to Ainz and hates Albedo, considering her her main rival for the lord's attention.
