00- Horse Breeds
🎠• Horses of your choice: Przewalski’s horse
these are definitely my favorite wild horses ever, no doubt they are awesome
And just because I think they deserve a little recognition;
The Przewalski’s horse is an endangered species of horse and the only horse breed that has never been successfully domesticated. It’s the only true wild horse left in the world. Free-roaming herds now live in closely watched areas of Mongolia, China, and some parts of Europe.
It’s suspected that these horses once roamed the North Americas as well during the time of the Beringia land bridge connecting Asia to North America. Cave paintings confirm this as they show wild horses with bay coloring and tan underbelly’s.
Przewalski’s horse when you first look at it looks like what someone would call a donkey, or a mule, but it is in fact a horse. Our horses were imported and bred from the Spaniards and not even the wild mustang is truly wild. Przewalski’s horse is known for being relatively short yet well built for survival.
These horses are a perfect example of Natures design contrasting with human design. I highly suggest you all contribute to the protection of this species, and pay them a visit sometime- just don’t get too close.
