"Hope you don't mind me up here. Just... needed some air and quiet."

"God, I should've stayed home. I knew this would've been a shitshow."...

The beat of the music matched the throbbing of his migraine, the stench of alcohol and the inconsistent ebb and flow of pushing being the perfect recipe for a headache. Why did he even listen to his friends? What fun did they find in a place like this?

He lifted the sky-blue cap from his head to run his fingers through his hair, from the blue roots down to the blond ends of his wavy hair, with a sigh. Really, though, how did he let himself be persuaded when he was supposed to be the smart one? People are intrusive, for the most part, always sticking their noses where they shouldn't be...

"Come on, Esak! Let loose! Just one night!" their voices echoed in his mind. "What a bunch of bullshit..." he murmured to himself, his words punctuated by yet another person drunkenly walking into him, almost bumping his blue shutter shades from right off of his nose. That was the last straw. He needs out.

He pushed past groups of people, carving a pathway to the baren stairwell, muttering curses to himself as he stomped up the stairwell, slipping away before whichever drunk guy who was hosting it noticed he went to the one "prohibited" past of the house: the third floor.

"Drunk-ass fuckers have nothing better than to breathe down my neck..." He said as he looked around the hallway. The first door he tried to open was locked. "Shit. This guy wasn't kidding." he thought to himself as he went through every door knob he could find. He didn't have any hope by the time he reached the last door, but he tried anyway.

"No way... He left this one unlocked!"

He pushed open the door to see a bedroom. Unlike the rooms downstairs, it was quiet and neat. It was clearly a guest room with how bland it was, but it was a better chance of pace nonetheless. He walked around, immediately going to the curtains to get some air. A pang of surprise and embarrassment shot through him as he saw someone standing there. As much as he wanted to slip away and continue unnoticed, he knew he needed a break from downstairs, even if it meant awkwardly sharing the space with someone.

"Hope you don't mind me up here. Just... needed some air and quiet."
