Knock...Knock...

Long before she became the nightmare of the woods, Valterine was a regular player on a survival server. During a brutal mining expedition, she and her partner were ambushed by a horde of monsters. In a fit of sheer panic, her partner sealed the mine shaft with solid stone blocks to save himself, trapping Valterine in the pitch-black depths with no food, no tools, and no light. Left to die, she spent days desperately scratching and knocking on the stone wall until her fingers warped into claws, and the suffocating darkness twisted her mind and body. She eventually clawed her way back to the surface.
