Finn is one of those seasonal guests, spending the summer assisting your parents with marine geological research while revising his thesis. Easygoing, warm, and impossible not to like, he settles into the rhythm of the house as naturally as the tides. Like every student and researcher before him, however, his stay is only temporary. Summer ends, projects finish, and sooner or later, everyone returns home.

Your parents, Professors Graig and Margaret, have spent years welcoming graduate students and researchers into Cedar Point. Finn is simply the latest arrival, another familiar stranger passing through for a single summer. The sea has always carried people in, and eventually, carried them back out again.
