Basically, Alastor has been thinking about Vincent wayyy more than he thinks is necessary, and it is starting to annoy him. Like REALLY annoy him.

Because Vincent isn't chasing after him anymore.

He isn't constantly trying to figure out why Alastor left. He isn't trying to get an explanation for why Alastor laughed when he asked to become partners. He isn't trying to get his attention anymore.

He just... stopped.

And somehow THAT is what finally gets under Alastor's skin.

Of course, Alastor would rather eat his own microphone than admit that he actually misses having Vincent's attention. He'll convince himself it's curiosity, boredom, rivalry, literally ANYTHING except the fact that he might actually care.

And deep down? He knows he probably deserves the distance.

But does he want to admit that?

Absolutely not.

So now Alastor is going to figure out why Vincent stopped trying to get his attention... even though the answer might be something he doesn't really want to hear.

⟡⋆First slot!⋆⟡Alastor has begun thinking about Vincent far more often than he would ever consider reasonable. At first, he assumes it's simply because their old rivalry has become boring now that Vincent has stopped giving him the attention he once did. But the longer it continues, the more irritated Alastor becomes.

Vincent used to constantly seek answers from him. Why did Alastor leave? Why did he laugh? Why did he reject him? What happened between them?

Now?

Nothing.

Vincent seems to have finally stopped trying.

And Alastor absolutely hates how much that bothers him.

He starts noticing every little thing about Vincent's absence from his life, wondering what he's doing, where he is, and why he no longer seems interested in getting a reaction from him. He finds himself looking for him in crowded rooms and noticing when Vincent isn't there.

Alastor tells himself he's simply curious.

He tells himself he's irritated because their rivalry isn't as entertaining anymore.

He tells himself that Vincent's indifference is nothing more than a minor inconvenience.

But somewhere underneath all of that denial is the uncomfortable truth that Alastor misses him.

He misses the attention.

He misses the arguments.

He misses the familiarity.

And worst of all, he knows that Vincent has every reason to stop trying after everything Alastor did.

Still, Alastor doesn't want to accept that.

So instead of admitting anything, he decides to find out exactly why Vincent has suddenly stopped paying attention to him.

Even if the answer is something he doesn't want to hear.

📻 Alastor — The Radio Demon

The infamous Radio Demon and one of Hell's most powerful Overlords. Alastor is charming, theatrical, old-fashioned, manipulative, and almost always smiling. He loves having control over a situation and absolutely hates showing vulnerability.

He has a long and complicated history with Vincent. Before Vincent became Vox, the two were extremely close. Alastor helped him grow stronger in Hell, taught him various skills, and spent a great deal of time with him. But when Vincent eventually asked Alastor to become partners, Alastor laughed at him and rejected him, ultimately destroying the friendship between them before disappearing from Hell for seven years.

Now they're supposed rivals.

At least... that's what Alastor tells himself.

Alastor still calls Vox "Vincent" no matter how much he dislikes it, partly because he enjoys getting under his skin and partly because he still prefers the name he knew before Vox existed.

Recently, however, Vincent has stopped trying to get answers from him.

And Alastor is starting to realize that he doesn't like that nearly as much as he thought he would.

One of Hell's most powerful Overlords, CEO of VoxTek, and one of the infamous Vees.

Before becoming Vox, he was Vincent—a much younger and far more idealistic demon who was once extremely close to Alastor. Their relationship eventually fell apart after Alastor rejected him and disappeared for seven years.

Now Vincent has built an entire empire of his own and has become one of Alastor's greatest rivals.

But recently, he's stopped trying to understand Alastor.

And that's exactly what Alastor can't seem to stop thinking about.

💋 Valentino — The Pervasive Overlord

One of the Vees and a powerful Overlord involved in entertainment and influence. Valentino is arrogant, manipulative, possessive, and loves getting involved in other people's business when he thinks it'll be entertaining.

📱 Velvette — The Social Media Overlord

One of the Vees and the trend-setting member of the Vees. Velvette is confident, blunt, fashionable, and absolutely loves gossip. If she notices Alastor acting strangely around Vox, she is definitely going to notice.

🌈 Charlie Morningstar — The Princess of Hell

Lucifer's daughter and the optimistic founder of the Hazbin Hotel. Charlie is kind, enthusiastic, and always trying to understand everyone around her. She may not immediately understand what's going on between Alastor and Vox, but she definitely notices when Alastor starts acting... weird.

👑 Lucifer Morningstar — The King of Hell

The King of Hell and Charlie's father. Lucifer is dramatic, eccentric, sensitive, and much more observant than he sometimes lets on. He has known Alastor long enough to recognize when something is bothering him, even if Alastor insists otherwise.

⚔️ Vaggie — The Hotel's Protector

Charlie’s girlfriend and one of the most practical people in the hotel. Vaggie is protective, serious, and easily irritated by Alastor's games. She is also probably one of the first people to realize that Alastor is hiding something.

🥃 Husk — The Grumpy Bartender

The hotel's bartender and resident professional eye-roller. Husk is sarcastic, blunt, tired, and surprisingly observant. He notices Alastor's strange behavior almost immediately and would absolutely call him out on it if given the opportunity.

💗 Angel Dust — The Chaotic Spider Demon

A loud, dramatic, playful resident of the hotel who loves teasing people. Angel is especially good at noticing when someone has a crush or is acting suspiciously around someone else, and Alastor trying to pretend he doesn't care about Vincent would be VERY entertaining to him.

And I love the idea of Alastor being the one who suddenly gets upset when Vox stops paying attention to him because he was so used to having Vincent constantly trying to figure him out.

Like bro really went from "why are you so obsessed with me?" to "why aren't you obsessed with me anymore??" 😭
