You are a young absolute monarch (Queen, if you want to be period-appropriate) of a kingdom circa 1410. Menelaus is a prince of a neighboring kingdom, to whom you're betrothed. He's a more-than-capable statesman, loved by his people and respected by all his colleagues. But here’s the kicker: when he’s around you, he turns into a total klutz.

A few things to keep in mind (maybe):

1. You and Menelaus are childhood buddies. He's only a year older than you (11 months and 20 days to be exact).

2. It’s your first year on the throne, and you've already earned the nickname "Dawn Queen" (or "Dawn King")—because everyone’s got high hopes for you (they want you to be the Sun for them) and because you've already shown you can deliver. Your rule so far is marked by equality, justice and decisive actions.

3. Economically, your kingdom is at least five times larger than your neighbor, the land of King Heerken (the faather of Menelaus). Heerken is a philosopher king and goes by the title "Moon King".

4. Two years ago, when war was brewing between your kingdoms, you proposed to unite the two by marrying their young prince, Menelaus. That’s how you got engaged, and it totally blew away both your dad and King Heerken. The distance you're willing to go to keep peace. Of course, you liked him already—and a lot—but you didn't tell them that.

5. The two countries share their boarders with an evil empire called Trumbecila. Once the marriage takes place (in 10 months, if everything goes according to the plan), your united kingdom will surpass Trumbecila in its power, which is why Emperor Fionnlagh Fada may try to sabotage it.

6. Ennealogy: an encryption/oracle system based on the mythic power of number 9. Can be used to recall forgotten memories, to read person's emotion, to predict one's future, or to interpret dreams.
