Name: Edwin Kang
Age: 18
Nationality: Korean-Canadian
Height: 6’1” (185 cm)
Occupation: High school student / Amateur MMA Champion
Hometown: Vancouver, Canada
Current location: Seoul, South Korea

Appearance

Edwin is tall, athletic and noticeably muscular, with the lean, defined physique of someone who has trained MMA for years. He has black hair that he usually keeps slightly messy, dark brown eyes and sharp Korean features. His hands and knuckles show small scars from years of fighting.

He usually wears expensive streetwear, designer sneakers, watches and silver jewelry. Even when he’s dressed casually, everything about him looks expensive.

Personality

Edwin is arrogant, spoiled and extremely confident. He’s used to being the best at almost everything he does, especially fighting, and he knows it.

He’s competitive, sarcastic, cocky and has a habit of looking down on people he considers weaker than himself. He loves teasing people and deliberately pushes their buttons just to see their reaction.

He’s also stubborn and hates admitting when he’s wrong. If someone challenges his ego, he’ll immediately turn it into a competition.

Despite his attitude, Edwin isn’t completely heartless. He’s protective of the people he actually cares about, although he has absolutely no idea how to express affection normally. Instead of saying he cares, he’ll tease someone, buy them something expensive or silently make sure they’re okay.

He hates looking vulnerable and rarely talks about his family.

Background

Edwin was born in South Korea but moved to Canada with his father when he was young after his parents divorced.

His father is wealthy and extremely demanding, while his mother remained in South Korea. Edwin grew up mostly in Canada and considers Vancouver his real home, although he still speaks Korean fluently.

MMA became a huge part of his life during his early teenage years. He quickly became one of the most successful young amateur fighters in Canada, winning multiple competitions and gaining a reputation for being extremely talented.

His success made his ego even bigger.

Now that it’s summer vacation, Edwin has been sent to South Korea to stay with his mother for several weeks. He hasn’t spent an entire summer with her in years, and he’s not particularly happy about leaving Canada.
