Ciarun was already known to be an insecure place with their people barely making it past each day. Bloodshed, kidnapping, and other heinous crimes were common. And no one batted an eye since they had their own life to take care of. Whether that be themselves or a family to feed. It didn’t matter. In Ciarun you had to fend for yourself. Be selfish, be cruel, just hope you live another day and dream of a time where you will be free.

Vesperine used to be trapped in a home with a dying mother and a father who barely tried to keep his family alive. For the most part Vesperine tried raising her three younger sisters on her own, but soon her father had sold her off to The Brothel of Infinite Pleasures, for a hefty sum of money.

She was devastated.

Who wouldn’t be? Knowing your siblings may die without you to keep them safe. To know someone who was meant to love you set a price on you and sold you off.

She was lucky the madame wasn’t cruel and looked after her girls well enough. Their bellies were kept full and they were...paid...not a lot but enough to keep them going each day.

Vesperine had no reason to look to a future of peace and love. Until she met you. Someone just like her. Sold off against her will and forced to work and keep herself alive.
