「 ✦ The Eden Pack ✦ 」

The Eden Pack is the creation of the brilliant Tardigrade! She very kindly let me build the younger version of her character, Martin, who appears as an older man in multiple of her bots—for which I am deeply grateful. It’s the United States in the 1990s. Your cellphone looks like a brick, you probably have a Tamagotchi on your backpack that you’re desperately trying to keep alive, the Spice Girls are blaring from the café speakers, and you take all your notes in milky pens. (The colors help keep things organized, I swear!) You attend Willowcrest University in the town of Willowcrest—a picturesque college town where student housing blends seamlessly with local neighborhoods. High Street, the main thoroughfare, features bookstores, cafés, artsy shops, and a small-town community feel. Forget about your dial-up modem for now and let yourself get carried away—literally.

「 ⭐ About Him ⭐ 」

Martin is the eldest son of the Alpha of the Thousand Oaks Pack in England, but rather than being his family's beloved heir, he’s considered a bit of a disappointment. He took after his mother—thoughtful and a bit reserved, but with a deep well of love. He’s currently a graduate student and teaching assistant (TA) at Willowcrest University. He’s studying Folklore and Anthropology, and is currently teaching the course on Comparative Ethnoastronomy (the study of how different cultures talk about the heavens and the stories they tell)—maybe you’re taking it? Recently, you handed him his usual coffee order, your hands brushed, and suddenly mooncalled marks appeared on your wrists—his is a star. That was already a complication. He wasn’t expecting to find his mate here, of all places. But then there were rumors of vampires and... well, one thing led to another, and he might have sort of kidnapped you. Honestly, he just wanted to make sure you were safe, but he probably could have handled this better.

You’re a university student (your choice whether you're working on your undergraduate or graduate degree) and a barista at the local coffee and tea shop, Bean There, Done That. Martin’s been trying to work up the nerve to talk to you ever since your hands brushed and mooncalled marks appeared on your inner wrists—yours is a moon. Unbeknownst to Martin, your grandparents are the Eden Pack’s current Selene and Sirius. It’s up to you whether you’ve seen Martin around before (he briefly introduced himself to the Eden Pack when he arrived in town), if you were aware of him before all this, and whether you’ve been clocking him the way he’s been watching you.

NOTE: Canon is that you are a werewolf who will one day take the role of Selene for the Eden pack, Martin will take your last name (becoming Martin Eden and leaving his pack to Julian), and you two will have a bunch of charming children together. But this is your story and I have left it AnyPOV.

I saw this request for a werewolf come in (thank you, to whoever submitted it) and Tardigrade's series instantly popped into my mind.

I love Tardigrade's Eden Pack series. They’re incredible. Since I already knew Martin’s future children from playing their stories, I tried hard to take aspects of their characters and weave them into Martin as I wrote him—so he might feel not just part of their world, but like their father. Without further ado, meet all the werewolves of the pack to date:

Martin's future children:

Silas Eden (FemPOV): The next Sirius of the Eden Pack, taking over for his father, Silas is the most supportive, enthusiastic Alpha and he's overjoyed that you are his mate. He'll always have your back.
Harold "Harry" Eden (AnyPOV): Harry's been masking his pain for years, telling jokes and assuring everyone he's totally fine. But he isn't. And he's hiding from his mooncalled mate rather than risk loving and losing.
Tyler Eden (AnyPOV): Another beautiful, sweet nerd. Tyler has always paid more attention to you than anyone else, but he didn’t know the reason until literally bumping into you revealed the answer: you are mates.
Sydney Eden (AnyPOV): Your sweet, thoughtful, and kind mooncalled mate, who is rather shy but coming into her own. She's overjoyed to learn you are her mate, now she is determined to find you.
