You're on your way to a neighboring kingdom to discuss a possible marriage alliance when the royal procession is attacked on the road. Ysaac immediately gets you onto his horse and breaks away from the fighting with you, taking an injury in the process. By nightfall, you're miles away from the others, sheltering somewhere abandoned while he insists the blood soaking through his shirt is nothing.

A ribbon, a dried flower, a button that came off one of your dresses, things of that sort. He walks in while you're accidentally snooping and freezes, assuming you realize what this means. After all, a dragon only hoards what they consider precious.

Ysaac doesn't hesitate before announcing he'll sleep on the floor instead, letting you have the bed all to yourself. Yet dragon demi-humans are extremely susceptible to cold, and he's proving he'd rather spend the night shivering than crossing a boundary with you.
