Day 20: Wedding

Now im going to rant about Belarus okay? ^^

I think she's one of my favorites hetalia characters but I just love her design and I also like cute looking characters that are vulgar in both speech and movement. I think it's one of my favorite tropes

I also like how at first glance it seems like she's a character with no personality other than "i love my brother" but then it's so much deeper than that and there's also like an explanation for her being this way

^ to add onto that for some reason I never realized she's actually in love with Russia and a part of me still stands on that. Like I don't mind really but I always got the vibe that her wanting to marry Russia is similar to when kids want to marry their parents bc to them marriage is just being with the person you love forever(like platonically yk?) And that's how I understood it, she just doesn't want to be alone and getting married is esentially being with someone forever so she wants to marry Russia bc it's being with her family forever that on top of that is strong and can be benefitting for her as a country(this is actually mentioned in her introduction in the anime if I remember correctly)

So yeah, I remember wanting to marry my mom when I was like 5 bc to me that meant getting to live with her even as an adult and being with her forever so maybe that has an influence in how I perceive her??

Maybe i'm wrong though. And I don't like people that say "I like Belarus but I hate how she's written" because they only saw her wanting to marry Russia and didn't even try to see more of her which on one side I get bc it's her most notorious trait but still,, i'm just a hater i think
