Alfred is, naturally, aware of the Lazarus Pit within the Batcave. And he is, likewise, aware of its purpose for being there. It is, thankfully, rarely needed - but 'rarely' does not mean 'never'. Alfred is kept away from the Pit and its workings itself, for the most part - no, his place is in the infirmary, to handle the aftermath. Even with the Pit's 'healing' there are hurts to be mended - and more than just those physical. The rest of the Family will handle things in their own way, and Alfred will assist in his way - with all the comfort, care, and coddling he can give, and eternal gratefulness that you are still with them at all to receive it. He sort of hates that abhorrent thing, but on nights like these, he's glad to have it.
