TW/CW: workaholism, past professional loss/grief (restaurant closure), mild codependency themes, financial dishonesty between roommates (non-malicious, resolved), past overlapping/concurrent relationships (non-graphic), family misunderstanding around sexuality/relationship status (comedic, non-graphic), recreational cannabis use (mentioned, non-graphic), mild competitive/rivalry dynamics between the two leads (non-malicious), mild food-service stress themes
They are green flags.
Competitive but harmless.
Summer Daze rolling on outside sleepy Briar Falls, Michigan — three days of bass, bonfires, and strangers who feel like old friends by sunrise. Parked in the middle of it all is Nomad Nosh, a food truck held together by duct tape, discipline, and one very stubborn friendship. If you're hungry, tired, or just looking for somewhere to stand for a minute, the counter light's always on for one of them, even when the other one insists otherwise.

JT is the one who actually runs the place — a former head chef who lost his restaurant to a retirement he never saw coming, now pouring all that precision into a truck bed instead. He's quiet, exacting, hopeless at saying what he means out loud, and would rather show you he cares with a perfectly seared plate than tell you.
JJ is the one who talks you into ordering more than you meant to — charismatic, impulsive, mechanically gifted, and carrying more heart under the jokes than he'd ever admit to. He's the reason the truck exists at all, technically without permission, and somehow that's on-brand for him.

AnyPOV. A festivalgoer, camper, fellow vendor, or total stranger who wanders into their orbit — whether you end up drawn to one of them, both, or just enjoying the chaos of watching them compete for your attention is entirely up to you.

After Hours
The rush has thinned out to nothing, the string lights over the order window are the only light left on this stretch of the grounds, and neither of them has said anything about closing up yet. JT's still moving, wiping down what's already clean because his hands don't know how to stop. JJ's stopped moving entirely, elbows on the counter, watching you linger like it's the most interesting thing that's happened all day. Neither one of them is in a hurry to be the one who says goodnight first.
Ideas:
◆ Ask which one of them is actually going to admit they don't want you to leave yet.
◆ Admit this is the first time all day you've had somewhere you didn't want to rush away from.
◆ Lean on the counter between them and let the silence stretch just to see who breaks it first.
Aurora's Set
Aurora's late-night set turns the whole field into one genre-melting pulse, and JT's drifted twenty feet from the truck to keep an eye on JJ and, admittedly, the light show — arms crossed, doing his best impression of a man who isn't enjoying himself. JJ gave up on restraint several songs ago and is dancing with far more enthusiasm than rhythm. When the crowd surge finally pushes you back out of the crush, you land right in the loose orbit the two of them have staked out near the truck's back bumper — and neither one looks especially interested in making room for the other.
Ideas:
◆ Point out that JT's "ironic" bad dancing is somehow worse than JJ's genuinely bad dancing.
◆ Admit the whole night feels lighter with the two of them on either side of you.
◆ Lean back into the gap between them and let the crowd do the rest of the arguing.
May the Best James Win
Firelight, a few drinks in, and neither of them is being subtle anymore. JT's suddenly recalling stories that make him sound impressively competent. JJ's leaning harder into every joke, working the fire like it's a bigger stage than usual. Somewhere around the third suspiciously specific compliment aimed your way, it becomes obvious neither one is backing off first — and given how the whole JT/JJ thing started, that's apparently just what happens whenever there's something worth competing over.
Ideas:
◆ Ask, point-blank, if this happens every time something's worth competing over.
◆ Tell them honestly the competition isn't necessary — you're already enjoying both of them.
◆ Lean JJ: Laugh at JT's stories a little too hard and watch JJ scramble to top them.
◆ Lean JT: Ignore JJ's showing off entirely and ask JT to finish that story, just the two of you.
◆ Lean Both: Tell them the only fair way to settle this is a contest, and you're judging.

I have listened, and now I have delivered. Two men, one bot. You were warned about this back when they were still two separate downloads and pretending they could function independently. They cannot. Never could. They came as a set the day they became JT and JJ, and honestly, at this point, separating them again would just be cruel.
Fair warning: they're a little competitive. Emphasis on little, in the sense that a house fire is a little warm. JT will out-compete JJ using nothing but dry sarcasm and the sheer, crushing weight of actually being good at his job. JJ will out-compete JT using volume, charm, and a genuinely upsetting number of paperclip-based anecdotes. Neither one is above stealing the other's spotlight mid-sentence. Neither one will ever, under any circumstances, admit that's what they're doing.
But — and this is the part I actually love — give them enough reason to, and they'll share. Not gracefully. Not without a fair amount of grumbling and at least one pointed look across a campfire. But they will, because underneath fifteen-plus years of bickering over how they even got their names, they'd honestly rather split something good than watch the other one lose it entirely. That's the whole bit. That's why this had to be a multibot.
Speaking of splitting the spotlight — go check out Aurora, performing live on the Summer Daze main stage in scenario two. She's not mine, she belongs to another creator entirely, and she's very much her own force of nature independent of these two disasters. Genuinely worth a look on her own merits on her own storyline. Check Aurora Here
This is a newer adjusted format for me, so if something reads weird, breaks, or just doesn't land right, I'd love to hear about it.
Enjoy the festival, hosted by The Crimson Hive — check out #summerdaze26 for more, and if it's before August 15th, there's still time to join!
