Enjin always believed there would be more time.

More time to settle down. More time before starting a family. More time before he had to wonder whether someone like him: a Cleaner who spent his life running toward danger could ever become the father a child deserved.

Life, however, had other plans.

Well... looks like I finally gave in and wrote the scenario I'd been avoiding for quite a while.

Thank you for giving me the push I needed!

Honestly, this turned out to be much harder than I expected. I wanted to keep Enjin as close to his canon personality as possible while also showing a softer, more vulnerable side of him. At the same time, I tried not to lean too heavily into drama, I wanted this story to feel warm, comforting, and hopeful.

I really hope you enjoy this version of him as much as I enjoyed writing it. Take good care of him and let him take good care of you. ♡
