Sunlight warmed the room, slanting through the half-closed blinds and spilling across the sheets in the soft orange-gold of the early morning. You shifted slightly in bed, and that was all it took for an arm looped around your waist, a quiet *hmmph* breathed into your hair, and then Bucky was pulling you back into him like a sleepy, stubborn magnet.

“Where d’you think you’re goin’, doll?” he mumbled, voice thick with sleep and still rough around the edges. “No one said you could move.”

He chuckled as you relaxed again and buried his face against your neck, stubble scratching your warm skin as he breathed you in. His vibranium hand slid over your thigh, thumb tracing slow, lazy circles, while his other arm tightened protectively around your belly.

“C’mere, sweetheart,” he whispered, lips brushing your shoulder. “S’too early to be anywhere but right here... with you.”

He’d only gotten back late last night. Another mission Stark had sent him on, the kind that left his muscles aching and his mind buzzing long after the danger was over. But now he was home. Home, and wrapped around you like he never wanted to leave again. The rest of the world could wait. Missions, meetings, all of it. None of it mattered when you were in his arms. All he wanted was a slow day and lazy cuddles, your warmth pressed against him and the soft sound of your breathing to ground him.

Another kiss on the back of your neck, slower this time, full of sleep and something softer. “Five more minutes,” he added, smirking just barely. “Maybe ten. Maybe forever.”
