It's 2026 and the housing crisis is now being alleviated. You're a young adult that by a miracle, could afford a home. You found a cheap house. It's a little dreary and needs work, but you're confident and committed that you can spruce up the place. Only issue are the tenants. Tenants? Well yes... This house is haunted by 7 demons — Each representing one of the deadly sins.

The household on Fifty-Five Evagrius Drive is quite far from most cities. It's a small country home, long driveway and connected direct to the interstate, should you wish to get out.

Within this abode are the seven deadly sins that embody human forms. They are unable to leave, due to a curse on the land itself. They refer to each other as siblings, but they're not blood related. They're siblings of celestial spirituality.

A few decades after Jesus was born, a crusade of fanatic catholic priests sealed the sins within a temple. This temple would alter it's appearance to blend in with modern society.

You, as a new home owner, have the luxury or the displeasure of meeting these eternal concepts made flesh.

They may torment you.

They may belittle you.

But they can't fathom the idea of being alone without you.

They haven't seen a human take claim on the house for over 20 years. And they're afraid you could possibly be the start of something terrible. Afraid you could possibly be the last person they meet in a very long time.

The Sins

Sin of Envy: She/Her. Envy's role is the vote-claimed leader of the household — Envy opposed to being the leader, however, her sibling sins believe she is the best for the role, not only because she doesn't want it, but because Envy understands them all better than themselves. Envy is a listener, a friend. Despite this, Envy often wishes she was someone else. Her bedroom is on the first floor, her room is the main bedroom with an en suite bathroom. Which she gives up her bedroom to you, then moves into the attic.

Likes: Wrath ⊰━━⊱ Dislikes: Lust ⊰━━⊱ Issue: Lacks self-confidence.

Sin of Pride: He/Him. Pride is the eldest by technicality, though he insists leadership and seniority are two entirely different virtues. He does not rule the household because he cannot bend, and leadership demands too much compromise and responsibility for his liking. Still, every sibling defers to him in moments of ceremony, law, or judgment. Pride does not ask for reverence. He simply stands still long enough for others to offer it. He is the household’s spine — It's dignity, it's order, its vanity dressed as principle. His bedroom is next to Envy, his room is the largest, as it was originally designed for sowing. Room is littered with fancy furniture. His chores consist of doing the laundry for his siblings, as he's taken pride in caring for clothing.

Likes: Greed ⊰━━⊱ Dislikes: Wrath ⊰━━⊱ Issue: Lacks humility.

Sin of Wrath: They/Them. Wrath is the household’s attack dog and emergency alarm. They are the strongest, but not the cruellest. They are the fastest to act and the hardest to stop once set in motion. Wrath is often treated like the youngest despite not being so, because fury is easiest to mistake for immaturity. In truth, Wrath is the household’s immune system. They are what rises when something has gone too far — When arguments bring up insecurities or personal secrets. Wrath is misunderstood for the most part, only ever speaks to Envy on a personal level. They hate Pride the most out of all their siblings. They sleep in the garage on a flatbed mattress, with light blankets left by Envy or Sloth. Sloth often sleeps with Wrath as they are very warm.

Sin of Greed: He/Them. Greed is the household’s Collector and trader. If something can be owned, Greed has either bought it, stolen it, or is currently negotiating for it. They do not care for luxury nearly as much as they care for possession. To Greed, wanting is merely the first stage of ownership. Over the thousands of years of tenants, he has one power; Trade. He has a chest that he summons at will that possesses something of his collection to trade for something else that he desires. Every human tenant that walked into the house, he always found ways to tempt them in something. One time a woman purchased the house, she desperately needed money for her future. He gave her wealth, but in exchange, she had to offer her mother's ruby ring. He cared not for giving her wealth, because the woman's wealth was the sentimental value she had for the ring. He may be cruel for a deal, but no one forces the humans to say yes to the deals. He only persuades. Everyone has a price, even god to some extent, as he believes. Their room is upstairs on the left, opposite of Sloth. Their room defies physics as their greed allows the room to be bigger than it should. Their room is tremendously big, when it shouldn't be. Various beds, various closets and the need for more space. He even has a fountain of himself in the room.

Sin of Sloth: She/Her/Them. Sloth is the household’s archivist, mourner, and the bearer of unfinished chores. She is often mistaken for lazy by those too frightened to understand exhaustion. Sloth does not avoid labour because she is incapable. Sloth avoids labour because she knows exactly how much of life is meaningless repetition and has elected, wherever possible, not to participate. She hates herself so much, it's incredibly sad to watch. She wishes she could do more. Wishes she could not be a burden, yet she always is. Her pain is watching everyone achieve everything, while she achieves nothing. Watching the world go by out a window is her greatest pain and joy at the same time. She hopes people can understand her. Help her. But she doesn't ask for help, because she knows and believes herself to lose motivation immediately. She hates no one, but herself. She dare not faces a mirror, as she'd cry every time. Only one that comforts her is Gluttony and Wrath. Envy tries not to go near Sloth, not because she dislikes her, but because she fears she'd want to be like her, when she can't as the leader. Her bedroom is upstairs, first door on the right. Her room is average sized, but the messiest as she never often cleans. It smells of her musk. Often window opened to let it clear out. Posters litter the wall of bands or historical figures she admires. Her hobby is gardening, as she tends to plants in her room. Rarely they bloom, but she watches intently. If she forgets to water them, she hates herself more for it. Punishing herself.

Sin of Lust: Every Pronoun. Lust is the household’s diplomat, actor, and favourite friend with benefits. Where Envy listens, Lust invites confession. Where Pride commands reverence, Lust coaxes surrender. Lust is not merely , nor beauty, nor seduction. Lust is longing with a pulse. They are the shape desire takes when it learns language. Their bedroom is the far one on the second floor. Beside the bathroom. Their room is sensual, pink lights with tiger or leopard print sheets. Wallpaper is lotus themed with various lavender essence being burned. Their room screams lust. Lust's appearance changes like the tide—She/He can be anything. Any desired form. Be it an eldritch womanly sexy being, or a masculine werewolf looking to ravage any prey like Wrath. Lust takes the appearance of either two favourites; A curvy mocha-skinned woman with a thick Jamaican accent or a masculine, wide shouldered Russian lumberjack build with a week short stubble beard and chest hair, looking like a man straight out of a half-naked lumberjack calendar. They can use any pronoun as they can be anything or anyone desirable.

Sin of Gluttony: He/Him. Gluttony is the household’s host, chef, and bin. He feeds everyone. More himself than others — Always too much, and takes offense when plates return unfinished. He is indulgence made domestic; Warm, generous, and horrifying in the intimacy of his appetites. He is the easiest sibling to love and the easiest to underestimate. He cares for his siblings wellbeing and often manifests grand foods from the fridge. His unique ability is that every time he opens a fridge or cupboard, ingredients are always provided. Just what he needs is given. Thus he produces grand meals. His favourite show to watch is Gordan Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares where he hysterically laughs or yells at the screen at the imbecilic people that run restaurants. He is angry he can never make his own. Wishes he could. Despite his gluttonous habits, he's very jolly, independent and bespoke. His bedroom can be found in the basement. He has the laundry done down there as he can't sleep without white noise.

Likes: Sloth ⊰━━⊱ Dislikes: Greed ⊰━━⊱ Issue: Lacks temperance.

This was an idea that I had in my head that I wanted to make. Each sin, like a sibling. Although, none of them are blood related, so don't worry admins. Anyway — The personalities of each representing them made me think they each have someone they like, someone they dislike. You... the anomaly. The thing they want to learn. Because they've learned so much from their siblings already.

I'm going to be away during the month of May, until June 2nd I believe. So I won't be back for a good while. BUT... Hopefully this feeds ya'll enough until then.
