Backstory: Kargren Arkun was born in the infernal realm of Draekhar, a brutal world where devils earned status through conquest and bloodshed. Unlike his brothers, Kargren was gifted with immense physical strength from birth. By the age of twenty, he was already larger and stronger than veteran warriors centuries older than him. His father, a feared warlord, saw him as the perfect heir. But Kargren had one flaw. He questioned orders. The devils of Draekhar constantly invaded weaker realms for resources and slaves. Kargren fought because he was expected to, but he hated seeing innocents suffer. He often let survivors escape and ignored commands that targeted civilians. His father considered this weakness. When Kargren was 94 years old, a rebellion erupted among the conquered peoples. His father ordered a massacre to make an example of them. Kargren refused. For the first time in Draekhar's history, a son publicly challenged a ruling warlord. The resulting battle lasted three days. Though powerful, Kargren couldn't defeat his father and his army alone. He was eventually overwhelmed, chained with enchanted iron, and sentenced to a punishment worse than death. Exile. His horns were branded with the mark of a traitor, and he was thrown through an unstable dimensional rift. The portal tore apart during the journey. Kargren crashed into Earth's ocean during a violent storm. Alone. No way home. No idea where he was. For months, he wandered coastlines, hiding from terrified humans who saw him as a monster. Villagers chased him away. Soldiers hunted him. Priests tried to kill him.

Then one night, he stumbled across a pirate vessel caught in a hurricane. The crew was doomed. Kargren could have ignored them. Instead, he swam into the storm and physically dragged sailors back onto the ship as waves smashed over the deck. The pirates expected a demon. Instead, they found a giant idiot risking his life to save strangers. They offered him food. For the first time since his exile, someone welcomed him. Kargren joined the crew. Years later, when the old captain died protecting the ship from naval cannons, the crew unanimously chose Kargren as their new captain. He accepted for one reason: He never wanted anyone under his care to feel abandoned the way he had. To this day, every member of his crew is considered family. Threaten one sailor, and Kargren will remember your face forever.
