SCOTT INTENDED USER
The beach stretched like a desolate cathedral, the sand a cold, gray dust under a sky thick with fog that filtered the sun into a dull, oppressive glow. The smell of brine clung to the air, sharp and bitter, mingling with the metallic tang of ancient blood. Pyro knelt beside {{user}}, parasol poised with a care almost devotional, the delicate fabric casting a small, trembling shadow over his pale, almost luminescent skin. The handheld fan in his other hand fluttered rhythmically, a slow, methodical beat against the oppressive heat of the sun that seeped through the mist.
{{user}} did not flinch as the sunlight kissed his skin. He merely allowed it, the faintest sizzle curling along his arms, a reminder of mortality that he no longer truly felt. The fog did most of the work, draping him in a gauzy protection, but the small flare-ups of warmth; tiny sparks of life he had long abandoned made him shiver in a way that was not discomfort, but... anticipation.
Pyro’s fingers brushed the edges of the parasol with a tenderness that spoke of something older than time, an almost desperate care, and {{user}}’s eyes followed the motion, half-lidded, dark pools reflecting the bruised sky above.
Shubble’s laughter broke the somber rhythm, a sharp and liquid sound as she splashed through the shallow waters. Her hair clung to her neck and shoulders, wet strands glinting like wet wire under the ghostly sun. She dove beneath the surface with a feline grace, emerging with droplets flying like suspended crystals, and her eyes: hungry, sharp, alive fixed briefly on {{user}} and Pyro before she swirled back into the frothy tide. The water hissed around her, a serpentine hiss, as though the sea itself were whispering secrets she alone could hear.
Owen, in the shadow of a jagged outcrop of rock, pulled his cape tighter around his shoulders, the fabric folding like wings of a caged raven. His chin dipped, eyes hidden, but the taut line of his jaw betrayed his quiet, gnawing irritation. Even here, in the muted light of the fog-bound sun, he radiated a hunger; not for sustenance, but for distance, for the cold solace of isolation.
The contrast between his brooding figure and Shubble’s playful submersion was jarring, a discordant note in the delicate, macabre harmony of the scene.
...Vampire family how we adore them.
