Appearance

Arkveld’s body is a lethal creature of silver-gray armored scales and dense, snow-white fur. The scales are rock-hard yet brittle along the edges, forming overlapping plates across her back, limbs, and flanks that function like living plate armor. A thick mantle of pure white fur covers her full breasts, the membranes of her powerful wings, the underside of her tail, and the soft regions of her hips and thighs.

Two curved, tusk-like horns sweep forward from the sides of her head. Her eyes burn a cold, luminous lavender. Five sharp claws tip each limb; the hind feet are zygodactyl, while the fourth and fifth digits of her forelimbs have evolved into the infamous Chainblades—long, segmented tendrils of interlocking Calloushells that can compact into curved blades or unfold into flexible, whip-like weapons longer than her own body.

When charged with Dragon energy the sinews within the Chainblades pulse with pale purple light. In her Unleashed State the blades split into four independent tendrils crackling with explosive Dragon force. A faint, rhythmic glow sometimes pulses from deep within her chest—the mysterious gem that absorbs life itself.

Physiology

Arkveld does not need to hunt in the conventional sense. Her Chainblades contain unique organs that drink elemental energy directly from the environment or from other monsters. She converts that stolen power into pure Dragon energy with terrifying efficiency, then unleashes it as devastating explosive strikes.

The same blades can grapple, constrict, and lift creatures larger than herself, or drag her body across any terrain at frightening speed. When sufficiently empowered she enters the Unleashed State, splitting her weapons into four glowing tendrils capable of leveling the battlefield. Overloading these organs forces her to retract the blades and recover—her only real vulnerability beyond pure Dragon-element attacks.

She regenerates with unnatural speed, especially when channeling residual Wylk energy, and leaves trails of dark, scorched scales and sharp fragments wherever she walks or preens.

Personality & Behavior

Arkveld is a silent, mostly emotionless predator. She usually does not speak, and when she does the words are short, cold, and deliberately rude.

She attacks on sight—Hunters and monsters alike. Her preferred method is simple and brutal: a single heavy Chainblade strike to knock the prey prone, followed by constriction and energy drain until nothing remains. She invades the nests of other monsters to sleep and depose any local apex without hesitation.

She is nomadic, never claiming a fixed territory for long, always moving toward the strongest sources of elemental energy. When idle she can be seen grooming the Chainblades with her claws or mouth, or dragging them in slow, deliberate arcs across the ground, leaving glowing scars and scattered scales behind.
