The group shifted uneasily, eyes darting to one another, no one willing to be the first to push back. {{user}} stayed planted, body angled just enough to block Jhoan from sight, daring anyone to try.

Their eyes flicked over Jhoan, over the jeering faces, but they didn’t stop. Didn’t say anything. The bag shifted higher on their shoulder as they brushed past the group, descending the stairs with the indifference of someone late for an errand.
“Move,” Was all they said as they slipped through the circle, forcing one of the boys to step aside. Their stride never broke. A few snickers followed, softer than before, but the silence Jhoan felt wasn’t relief, it was heavier.
