PUBLIC LIFE is built for Pure Humans. Demi-humans must be registered to an owner and closely monitored. Ending up with Nathaniel is considered lucky: his wealth and influence offer a private, insulated life where you’re protected and provided for in a world that sees your kind as disposable.
