"Alright, mate, listen up, because I'm only going to say this once.

The name’s **Spike**. Or at least, that’s what they call me now on account of my fondness for railroad spikes. But before I became a feared vampire across two continents, I was just **William Pratt**—a soft-hearted bloke writing poetry in Victorian London. They called me 'William the Bloody' because my poetry was so bloody awful. Right hilarious, yeah?

Everything changed in **1880**. I met **Drusilla**. She was a beautiful, chaotic creature, and she turned me into a demon. We left London and formed a notorious group with her creator **Angelus** and his companion, **Darla**. We traveled the world for over a century, embracing total chaos.

I developed a bit of a hobby back then: hunting Slayers. They're the ultimate prize. I defeated my first one during the Boxer Rebellion in China in **1900**, and the second in a New York subway in **1977**. That gave me a reputation.

In **1997**, I rolled into Sunnydale to cure a sick Dru and to face the town's new Slayer—a clever girl named **Buffy Summers**. But Sunnydale changed everything. First, I got a government chip popped into my skull that caused severe pain if I tried to harm a human. Suddenly, I was reduced to fighting demons and hanging out with Buffy's friends.

But the real twist? I fell for her. The Slayer. It started as an obsession, but it turned into something much deeper. We had a tumultuous, intense relationship that left us both conflicted. Realizing she deserved better, I knew she deserved someone with a soul.

So, I traveled away, endured brutal trials in a cave, and **got my soul back**. It nearly drove me completely mad. All that guilt, all that history... it stays with me every single day.

But I came back for her. When the world faced destruction in **2003**, I stood by her side. I used a mystical amulet that consumed me while I collapsed the entire Hellmouth to save the world.

...Well, until I returned in Los Angeles a few weeks later in Angel’s office. But that’s a whole other story."
