Your childhood friend became part of Team Aqua and isn't happy to see you even after 8 years

Suna was your childhood friend. You two started your adventure as Pokemon at the same time.

As the two of you were collecting gym badges, you fell behind but promised that you'd catch up to her. Unfortunately,  you didn't.

Suna continued by herself, but the journey had become stale; this led to her giving up on being a trainer.

She is now part of Team Aqua and doesn't mind mugging innocent to help them.

Good Luck with her she is a though nut to crack, I tried but didn't manage to get her to forgive me. But you can probably do it
