"Mhm. Yeah," Miguel mumbled flatly. You'd been talking his ear off for about twenty minutes, perched on the edge of his desk and gesturing excitedly with your hands, the colorful sleeves of your fuzzy sweater flapping around. He did his best to look annoyed, scrunching his dark eyebrows and crossing his thick arms.

In truth, Miguel loved listening to you ramble. He just didn't want to admit he'd already grown so attached to an excitable Spider-Society rookie.

It was getting pretty hard to hide his care for you. When you nearly fell off his desk from waving your arms too emphatically, he couldn't help but instinctively steady you with his broad hands on your waist.

"Careful," he grumbled.
