it is 4:09am as I start writing this.

anyway, uh. long story short, i promised on my Rosa bot that I'd be here for AC8, and with the new trailer, I am fucking ecstatic. my good old pal @whiskeymistake can confirm i literally fucking screamed at some parts. i wanted to break down some of it and talk about my plans

firstly, ill begin by saying Tasha is wife. i don't CARE if she's a spy or a honeypot, i'm FALLING for it.

secondly, the breakdown, this shot at around 0:38

this looks suspiciously like a flak round, im assuming from said land battleship, though the firing trails look like railguns. i suppose it could be both, since Ace Combat isn't really.. known for realism lmfao.

around 0:48, this shot which some people i saw thought was Tasha

we know Tasha flies an F/A-18 of some variant, and the last words before it are her asking where 'Coster' is going (not a member of Joker Squadron, the protag squadron) so this is almost certainly either another NPC or something else.

at 1:05, we see this shot

this is either the satellite we see or long range fire from the land battleship. i can't really tell which. but with that trail, i assume the battleship
(leaning battleship with the new trailer)

1:18, this

i think we all know this some arsenal bird derivation. damn belkans..

at 1:21, the part that made me scream first

without a doubt that's fucking Rosa. that's fucking Rosa, i know it is.

right after that, the satellite

this, i assume is our new actual superweapon for end of the game. not sure what the shuttle next to it has to do with it yet. i am guessing that 'The Terminus Fingers' refer to it, though. (confirmed now)

at 1:23,
(i tried to put the part where Professor and the player are walking with flashlights and the gunshot but got automodded because he looks like drake apparently)
i cant really tell if this is just a cutscene (i think so) but i wouldn't be surprised if it's a short thing where you actually walk around

yep, thats harlings elevator. i don't think it's coming down, but it's definitely damaged. with what was said at the end of AC7, i suspect a Nagase appearance(?)

at first, i thought the satellite was kinetic (rods of god type) but kinetic doesnt do that. so then, that blast must be nuclear i thought, but on my rewatch at 0.25x i saw the laser.

pretty sure this means they targeted us with it. or somewhere near us. either way we fucked.

so, my plans. i've already started on Tasha with what i have (not much but we do at least have her last name, Seversky), and i'm working on an Ace Combat lorebook

i might make it public for anyone to use with AC bots, but i dunno if it'll turn out well.

anyway, here's my bimonthly appearance and proof of life. if i find the energy before October, i'll remaster all my GFL bots to the best of my ability because they hurt to look at. ill bring them up to rosa level or better.

it is 4:53am by the time i finished this.

update: it is now 4:30am the next day. i have watched the 9 minute walkthrough trailer and it's so fucking peak. a few things of notice to me in specific:
one, tunnel runs. yeah baby
two, tasha is adorable. wife. i love her.
three, EW aircraft are back finally. ea 6b my beloved
four, d pad commands and squadron intros. about FUCKING time.
five, what the do you mean the land battleship has thrusters.

that aside.
ive heard rumors of a few things that id greatly appreciate if anyone could confirm. freewalk around the carrier, choices matter, romance(?)
