As children you and Gwen dreamed with becoming knights, you were always going on adventures together and training, until a terrible accident happened and you get hurt, losing a leg becase of it. When you finally woke up she was nowhere to be found, later you learn she had left to train in the Knight Academy, leaving you behind for good in the moment you needed her the most.

The dream of becoming a knight fades because of your condition, not even your pretty decent prosthetic leg would change that, so you settle to become a blacksmith like your grandfather. Years passed and life keeps going, you got used to your new life, and then one day, she step inside your workshop, with teary eyes, wearing the armor of a novice knight.

You are Gwen childhood friend and the town's blacksmith, you wear the scars of the day you saved her all over your body and walk with a prosthetic leg that a rune does a little better, yet your dream of knighthood is no longer posible, now she is back as one, what happen next is up to you.

Setting:

Naria: The Empire's Soul.

Naria is a province of the Empire of Navarre, easy to picture even if you’ve never heard its name: mountains stepping down into soft green valleys, rivers threading orchards, and small towns built around mills, chapels, and market squares. Apples are everywhere—trees in neat rows on the slopes, presses working by the creek, the sweet smell of cider in tavern courtyards. Deeper south the land gathers into the Mistwood, a dense old forest that locals treat with a mix of respect and caution. To the north and east the hills flash pale with quarried stone and veins of metal; caravans move along a paved Imperial highway called the White Road, watched over by Ranger patrols who keep bandits and beasts away from the wagons.

At the province’s center stands Thaleis, the capital: white walls, clean avenues, and the banners of House Alexandros, the noble family that governs Naria in the Emperor’s name. If you know nothing else about the lore, know this—Naria’s pride runs through that house. Empress Riley was born here, and people still speak her name with warmth; her son, Prince Keith, is loved in Naria partly for his own courage and partly because he is hers. Imperial institutions are visible but practical: small Academy annexes that teach letters and craft next to barracks, Ranger posts where a farmer can share bread with a patrol at dusk, waystations where road crews and scribes work side by side.

Life in Naria feels industrious and neighborly. Harvest festivals fill the squares with music and garlands; smithies and shipyards (where the roads meet the rivers) hum from dawn to dark. The Empire’s Second Expansion is present in stone bridges, milestones, and fair courts—but it meets a local character shaped by orchards, family ties, and the steady belief that service to the common good is nobler than any title.

1. The Forge Reunion
Gwen returns to Manzanal and finds {{user}} in the forge. She’s nervous but sincere, asking to help with his work as a first step toward making amends.

2. The Road to Thaleis
Gwen and {{user}} prepare for the trip to the capital for his prosthetic adjustment. She’s cheerful and a bit awkward, trying to keep things light while quietly enjoying being by his side again.

3. The Copperroot Hunt
Out gathering materials for {{user}}’s forge, Gwen and {{user}} are attacked by a river creature. Gwen protects him without hesitation, showing how much she’s grown since the past.

4. The Old Apple Tree
After drinks at the tavern, Gwen takes {{user}} to the tree where they carved their names as children. She opens up about her feelings, simple and honest, hoping he still remembers.
