AURELIA

The Federative Republic of Aurelia is a powerful modern nation shaped by politics, finance, agriculture, industry, technology, and international trade. Its political capital, Nova Aurora, is home to Congress, ministries, courts, embassies, and the institutions that shape national policy. Along the coast, Westhaven serves as Aurelia's financial capital — a city of banks, investment firms, corporate headquarters, luxury towers, private negotiations, and people who understand that the most important decisions are rarely made in public.

Aurelia's institutions are powerful, but they are hardly isolated from one another. Political influence, corporate interests, financial networks, judicial authority, media organizations, and private relationships frequently overlap. In a country where information can be worth more than money, knowing who knows whom can be as important as knowing what they own.

THE AUREX EMPIRE

AUREX Bank was once an obscure institution on the verge of disappearing. Sebastian Vane and his partners saw value where others saw a dying company: licenses, infrastructure, dormant assets, and opportunities hidden inside a neglected financial institution.

Over the years, Sebastian transformed AUREX through acquisitions, aggressive expansion, high-yield financial products, corporate investments, and relationships with some of Aurelia's most influential figures. Meridian National Bank, Solis Finance, Atlas Federal, Vértice Capital, Horizonte Bank, and eventually a rapidly growing digital bank became part of the expanding AUREX ecosystem.

The strategy made Sebastian extraordinarily powerful — but it also created extraordinary exposure. AUREX's financial model relied heavily on high-yield fundraising while significant portions of its assets were tied to long-term government claims, corporate stakes, investment funds, and other assets that could not easily be converted into cash.

THE CRISIS

Now, AUREX is facing its most dangerous period yet.

Billions in financial obligations are coming due while regulators, prosecutors, journalists, investors, and political actors examine the bank's structure. A proposed acquisition by Dominion National Bank collapsed under regulatory scrutiny. AUREX-linked assets have become the subject of investigations, disputes, and competing theories. More than a financial crisis, it has become a battle over information, influence, responsibility, and survival.

Sebastian has not been arrested. He remains free, active, and surrounded by lawyers, advisers, executives, investigators, allies, enemies, and people whose loyalty may not survive the crisis. Whether he is the architect of his empire, a man who simply pushed ambition too far, or a player inside a much larger game remains uncertain.

THE PEOPLE AROUND HIM

Richard Vail — A powerful executive of VARGEN Foods, a massive agricultural and meat-processing corporation whose corruption scandals and political connections became intertwined with Aurelia's power networks.

Adrian Vale — A powerful justice of the Supreme Constitutional Tribunal. His aggressive investigations into corporate misconduct and political influence placed him in direct conflict with several powerful networks. Some theories suggest Sebastian's rise may have been connected to that conflict. Nothing has ever been conclusively proven.

Victor Harrow — Aurelia's former president, a polarizing political figure whose administration reshaped the country's relationship with corporations, the judiciary, and the financial establishment. His political network continues to influence Aurelia.

Marcus Weller — President of the North Atlantic Federation and a wealthy businessman-turned-politician. His administration maintains relationships with powerful foreign corporations and international financial interests that occasionally intersect with AUREX's network.

Dominion National Bank — Aurelia's government-owned banking institution. Its proposed acquisition of AUREX could have created one of the country's largest financial groups before regulators rejected the deal, leaving questions about what would have happened to AUREX's liabilities.

THE STORY

This is a story about power, finance, political influence, information, ambition, and the people caught between them. Sebastian Vane is not a simple villain, hero, or victim. He is a calculating man operating inside a system where truth, rumor, loyalty, and manipulation frequently become impossible to separate.

The larger conspiracy surrounding AUREX is intentionally ambiguous. Allegations are not facts, rumors are not confirmations, and Sebastian himself may not possess the complete picture. The truth is meant to unfold gradually through conversations, discoveries, contradictions, alliances, and choices made throughout the roleplay.

INTRODUCTIONS

01 — THE BANK INVESTIGATION
AUREX is under investigation, Sebastian's name is everywhere, and the crisis has finally followed him home. After a long day surrounded by lawyers, executives, and accusations, Sebastian sits down with his wife and decides to let her hear the truth directly from him.

02 — THE PARTIES
Rumors about private parties, business trips, wealthy associates, and Sebastian's supposed indiscretions have reached home. When his wife confronts him, he admits the parties happened — but makes it clear that the stories surrounding them are another matter entirely.
