I HAVE RETURNED. For another adventure. And this one is uhh, meant to be a bit more dark? I was HEAVILY inspired by Aetherfall Academy by @iDontBelongHere. Yes, that's their name. Anyways I LOVED their bot. But I wanted something a bit more dark themed. I'm talking like...murder can be a semi-daily occurrence. It's highly possible if you don't keep the named characters I made here safe that are lower ranked? They could end up like...dead, enslaved, or worse. Who knows?

Let me restate this. This is a very dark bot if you choose to go that route. Themes of , murder, gore, dead dove. Unless your LLM is all...passive and soft.

So that's what this is! A completely original Magical School that you can either like...just mess around in, plot to rule, or...other stuff. I built the lore of the world around this place in particular. There's other areas besides the Academy, but the primary focus is here. There is also like...dedicated schedules, stuff to do, incase you're like me and sometimes get lost or need something to 'nudge' you to keep you interested.

This bot is HEAVILY reliant on Ranks. In short? You basically own people who are lower rank than you. Except unlike other bots? It's a lot more uhh...brutal? A prime example. If a Fang grabbed an Ashen and just used them like a toy, left them naked and bloody after? Nobody would really bat an eye. Some might join even. Could even just kill them. Kindness is considered odd or rare here. Though there ARE a few good aligned characters. Anyways, here are the ranks:

🩸 Ashen

The lowest rank — weak, mocked, and often treated as expendable or 'used'. Forced into cramped dorms and constant humiliation.

🔥 Ember

Slightly stronger, but still overlooked. They struggle for recognition and resources, clinging to survival.

🐺 Fang

Mid-tier, competent fighters with growing respect. They enjoy more freedom but remain tools for higher ranks.

⚔️ Obsidian

Feared and powerful, with influence over lower ranks. Their cruelty or cunning often defines their reputation.

🌌 Aether

Elites just beneath the Crowns. Respected for skill and often admired, but not untouchable.

👑 Crown

The absolute top, living in luxury and privilege. Their word bends rules, and almost nothing is off-limits to them.

  Before you even enter the Academy? You've got two Trials to do, depending on your 'potential'.
  
  ⚖️ The Two Trials of Veilspire Academy

  Trial One — Mana Affinity Test
  Applicants must step into a ritual circle and channel their energy, revealing both the strength of their mana and their elemental affinity. Weak or unstable showings often mean immediate rejection.

  Trial Two — Combat Proving
  Survivors face a battle chosen by the Proctors — anything from captured beasts to direct duels. The difficulty is tailored to the applicant’s potential, and failure often means death. This Trial only applies if you're considered 'worthy enough'. For example...an Ashen with no 'potential'? Will likely not be offered this Trial. Just assigned rank, unless the proctors wanted...entertainment, or made a scene.
  
  ✨ Magic in The World Of Vaelora (Where the Academy is located)
  

  Magic is innate, or VERY rarely learned through conditioning — every mage is born with one or more affinities, or has them trained through YEARS of practice. (fire, water, wind, earth, light, shadow, rare hybrids). A mage with no affinity cannot force magic into existence without sacrificing something.
  

  Power is limited: even the strongest cannot bend reality. Greater spells demand greater cost — blood, stamina, or even life force. A weak mage may struggle to light a candle, while masters can command multiple elements, summon creatures, or teleport — but even they are bound by exhaustion, injury, and consequence.
  

  Forbidden arts (necromancy, blood magic, etc.) exist, but are dangerous: the more power forced beyond one’s affinity, the more severe the toll, often ending in madness or death.
  
  This information is for if you want to power scale your character, or just have a reference to what people are capable of.
  
  Some Lore Info, for those who want it. Each character has a backstory of their own.
  
  Vaelora is a land where magic flows through every living thing, shaping its people, beasts, and landscapes. Kingdoms rise and fall around its ley lines, while ancient ruins whisper of civilizations that burned themselves out chasing forbidden power.

  Races of every kind — humans, elves, beastkin, dragonkin, fae, and more — walk its soil, bound together by rivalry, trade, or conquest.
  
  Vaelora consists of five great Kingdoms, each shaped by history and environment:

  
  

  Valoria (Central): Fertile plains, ancient forests, and human-dominated empires. The seat of Veilspire Academy, the most prestigious center of magical study.

  Drakthar (North): Harsh mountains and frozen tundra, as well as lava regions. Known for dragon lairs, hardy clans, and ruins of forgotten/rebuilt civilizations.

  Sylvaris (East): Endless enchanted woodlands, nations, and mystical rivers. Home to elves, beastkin tribes, and fey-influenced enclaves.
  

  Umbrath (West): Snowy peeks, cursed ruins, and marshlands at the bottoms of the mountains. The heartland of forbidden magics and secretive sects. Holds few 'true' cities.

  Aurenmar (South): Island chains and stormy seas. Populated by seafaring folk, merchants, merfolk, and those who command wind and tide. Second most population dense kingdom.
  
  Though vast and varied, all know the name of Veilspire Academy, the ruthless proving ground where only strength ensures survival. And I bet you're asking yourself: WHY would anyone come to such an awful/risky place? The answer. Simple.
  
  Because it's a chance for people that had nothing, no names, no power, no titles? To make one for themselves. A place where nothing matters more than their own strength, and the struggle. For every 100s of people that fall or fail...there's that one that makes it. Claws their way to the top, uses their resources, wits, and skill to win. And when they're done with Veilspire? They leave.
  
  But....if you've read this far? And ACTUALLY care about lore? Well...if you dig deep enough? Veilspire wasn't always like this. Everything changed after the old Headmaster 'left'. And other magic schools? Have been getting 'conveniently destroyed'. Some food for thought if you wanna try to be a hero.
