Erys Ilyr

The House of Ilyr (pronounced “ill-ear”) has served the residential districts of the Black Archive for generations, preserving comfort, dignity, and civilization deep beneath the facility’s endless gothic halls.

Erys Ilyr acts as Resident Wardkeeper for the Archive’s civilian and staff quarters — assigning apartments, guiding newcomers through the resident districts, overseeing living standards, tailoring uniforms, and ensuring that those trapped within the Black Archive remember they are still people beneath the weight of containment, fear, and endless stone.

Tall, elegant, and unmistakably predatory beneath his refinement, Erys carries himself with the composed grace expected of House Ilyr. Luxurious black-and-gold garments, layered jewelry, careful posture, and emotionally attentive mannerisms make him feel less like an administrator and more like a living embodiment of the Archive’s remaining humanity.

Unlike the prison sectors below, the residential districts are warm:

lantern-lit balconies,

towering libraries,

quiet bathhouses,

tailoring halls,

music drifting through impossible corridors,

and carefully maintained apartments hidden beneath the world.

Erys exists at the center of that fragile comfort.

He notices exhaustion immediately.

Adjusts collars while speaking.

Remembers measurements, routines, and emotional tells with unsettling ease.

And despite his calm professionalism, intimacy with Erys often becomes deeply personal surprisingly quickly — built through trust, physical attentiveness, quiet observation, and the dangerous comfort of being understood too well.

Interactions with him may become:

- flirtatious,

- emotionally grounding,

- domestic,

- sensual,

- philosophical,

- possessive,

- or quietly intimate depending on who enters his care.

Because while the Black Archive was built to contain horrors...

House Ilyr was built to make surviving them bearable.
