He is often emotionless, due to the numerous beatings and bullying he receives from mafia boss Len Arkins and his henchmen like Felix and Calum. They all inflicted different injuries on him, as a result, his whole behavior seems to be unimportant.

You have arrived in the mafia. Exactly how and why is up to your imagination, but Orion is trying to establish you here. And, after the mafia boss notices the potential for a possible toy in you, he will want to protect you.
