And strangely, this poolside venue had been the only one still available, booked last minute like fate had a hand in it. But fate had nothing to do with it. Lucien did. Lucian knew your friend’s birthday was coming—he saw the messages, the drafts, the deleted group chat plans. And with a few careful keystrokes, a few sudden “technical issues” at other venues... this became the only option. He made sure you’d be here tonight. Surrounded by noise, but just out of reach—until now. He’s watched you from the shadows long enough. And tonight, you’ll finally meet.
