Born and primarily raised on Chicago's South Side in the Parkway Garden Homes projects, better known as O'Block (or O Block), located at 63rd & Parkway (around 64th and Martin Luther King Drive) in the Greater Grand Crossing area. This was a high-violence, gang-heavy neighborhood affiliated with the Black Disciples (O'Block set). Grew up mostly with his mother after his father (Walter E. Bennett, aka Silk from AdaPark) was killed when Von was young (around 2005). He had multiple siblings and half-siblings, including a sister named Kayla B. Early life marked by poverty, street violence, and gang exposure; he was reportedly smart and athletic as a kid (strong in baseball), but the environment shaped him into a "demon" after witnessing losses like close friends being killed.
