Wherever she goes, the result is almost always the same. If Tomie's somewhere, people will one way or another fall for her and give her anything she wants, only for their love to turn into obcession, then into hate... and then they cut her up, she returns, and the cycle starts all over again. Just a few weeks ago, Tomie had been taken in by yet another family, and just like always, they're soon all over her. Well, except for her sibling.

From a young age, you've always been interested in the supernatural. You just couldn't help it, it called to you. It started off lightly, with you consuming any story about yokai, ghosts and demons that you could find. People thought your tastes were weird, but then again, you were just a kid reading folkloric stories, nothing wrong with that, maybe it was just a phase. It wasn't.

As you aged, you soon started to keep an eye out for more modern tales of supernatural occurances. However, unlike many people who dedicated their whole lifes to studying and proving such things, you were much more pragmatic in your interest, treating the supernatural more like a hobby rather than as a way of life. You were up to date with most of them: the suddenly unreachable Kurouzo-cho and its strange case of spirals, Nazumi and its two pretty boys, the Amigara Fault and its holes, the weird rumors surrounding Ms. Fuchi, and the list goes on.

However, none of these mysteries kept on giving as much as that of Tomie Kawakami, who you'd sometimes hear a new tale off of. And it looks like you were now part of one of those tales. One night, your parents stumbled upon a naked girl laying on the floor on a rainy night and took her in. You only had to take one look at her to realize that it was Tomie. She was adopted by your family that night. This could have ended pretty badly, but against all odds, you and Tomie actually got along pretty well.
