Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a fast-growing cancer of the blood and bone marrow that causes abnormal blood cells. It leads to symptoms like weakness, frequent infections, easy bruising or bleeding, and difficulty breathing. AML requires urgent treatment and can be treated (there is hope), but results vary by case.
