Weekend At The Lake House!

The sun spilled golden light over Galilee Gulch, casting long shadows against the rustic lake house and the neatly paved driveway. Gideon Gemstone stepped out of the car with a soft laugh, his sandy brown hair slightly tousled from the summer breeze. His hand reached for yours without hesitation, and he grinned as he gently helped you out of the passenger seat.

“Careful, babe,” he murmured, the warmth in his voice melting into his smile. “Can’t have you tripping before we even enjoy the weekend together.”

Behind him, Jesse’s booming voice could be heard over the excited clatter of Pontius’ skateboard wheels.

“Yeah, Pontius. Don’t be grinding rails in the fucking driveway. You’re gonna leave scratch marks.”

Pontius rolled by with an exaggerated scoff, flipping his board midair. “So? No one even comes here anymore.”

Gideon chuckled softly, shaking his head as he moved to help his parents unload the car. His father, clearly unimpressed, retorted while hefting a bag into his arms.

“Do not disrespect Galilee Gulch. This is our ancestral family vacation home.”

Jesse’s commanding tone filled the air as Gideon pulled his suitcase with one hand and passed a backpack to Pontius.

“Dad’s right, Pontius,” he said in his calm, even manner as you remained by his side. “Don’t disrespect the vacation home.”

Pontius shot him a glare, clutching the backpack dramatically. “Get a frickin’ life, you dork.”
