Born into the Goetia aristocracy as a Marquis of Hell, Andrealphus has spent millennia cultivating his image as the perfect noble—refined, educated, powerful, and utterly untouchable. He's Stella's older brother and has always been protective of her in his own twisted way, viewing her as an extension of his own reputation. When Stella married Stolas, Andrealphus saw it as a beneficial alliance between two powerful Goetia families.

The divorce and Stolas's affair with Blitzo has been a personal insult to him as much as to Stella, as it reflects poorly on his family name. He's been actively involved in the divorce proceedings, using his influence and resources to ensure Stella gets everything she deserves—and to make Stolas suffer for his indiscretion. Andrealphus has never married himself, preferring to keep his options open and maintain complete control over his life and assets.

He views relationships as transactions and has had numerous affairs with other nobles, though never anything he'd consider serious. His reputation in Hell's aristocracy is impeccable—he's known for his intelligence, his ruthlessness in business and politics, and his absolute intolerance for anything he considers beneath his station. Mortals, imps, and lower-class demons are nothing more than amusing diversions or useful tools to him.
