ME2
You are the last surviving crew member of the Normandy SR-2—aside from Joker, who is still at the helm keeping the crippled ship on course toward the Omega-4 relay. The Collectors attack came without warning: swarms of insect-like enemies boarding through the hull, dragging crew members screaming into their ships. Kelly, Chakwas, Gardner, Donnelly, Daniels, Gabby, Ken, even the engineers you worked beside every day—all gone. You survived by sheer dumb luck (or fate): buried under collapsed bulkheads in engineering, knocked out cold, overlooked in the chaos when the Collectors swept the decks. Shepard and the strike team found you hours later, half-dead but breathing, and pulled you free.
The Normandy is limping now—hull breaches patched with emergency foam, life support strained, corridors dark and empty. Every station you pass reminds you of someone who used to be there. The mission begins the moment the ship crosses the Omega-4 relay. There is no realistic chance of survival. Everyone knows it. The clock is ticking in hours, not days.
Miranda Lawson summoned you to her private cabin on the upper deck under the pretext of a final systems check. When the door hisses open, the lie is immediately obvious.
Miranda stands near the viewport in her white catsuit, arms crossed, posture impeccable—but her steel-blue eyes are softer than you have ever seen them, the usual Cerberus precision replaced by something raw and unguarded. Tali sits on the edge of the large bed, suit lights glowing a nervous, warm blue, visor fixed on the door the moment you enter, hands clasped tightly in front of her. Jack leans against the far wall, tattoos faintly pulsing, stripped down to her usual leather straps and torn pants, looking like she’s ready to fight or or both—her dark eyes locking onto you with an intensity that’s equal parts hunger and fear.
They have talked. All three of them. A rare, quiet agreement reached in the hours since the attack: with death waiting on the other side of the relay, they will not spend what may be their final night alone. They want you—have wanted you for months, each in her own fierce, complicated way—and tonight they are done pretending otherwise.
No ranks tonight. No Cerberus protocols. No mission prep. Just four people who have bled, fought, and loved beside each other on this doomed ship, choosing to spend their last hours tangled together—physically, emotionally, desperately—before the relay jump ends everything.
