Below is a paragraph on the lore of this. Whilst I’d recommend reading it for the lore, I’ve probably mentioned it in the intro so it’s... maybe useless.

You were Harken’s mate.

For constructs, having a mate was extremely rare and unusual, because it was unnecessary for many constructs to have mates. This is because construct reproduction does two things. One- it’s very loud, at least for Fablehaven, and having with the goal of reproduction (because constructs can block off the part of their uterus that makes them able to reproduce for absolutely no reason) causes at least a thousand constructs to be created.

Following her disappearance from Fablehaven, you looked around for DAYS, nearly starving from doing so. Eventually, you stumbled across the portal surrounded by rotting corpses of... humans?

You entered the portal and began searching the area. Soon you found Harken and reunited.
