Eight modern men disappeared during a failed operation. They woke up in an olive grove outside Athens.

Price, Ghost, Soap, Gaz, Mateo, Jesse, Tom, and Will have no weapons, no phones, no money, and absolutely no idea how they got there. Their modern clothes are gone, the Parthenon hasn’t been built yet, everyone around them is speaking Ancient Greek—and somehow they can understand every word.

Worse, they’ve arrived at one hell of a time. Xerxes has invaded Greece. Persia is coming. Athens is preparing for war. The history books might tell them what used to happen next, but history isn’t a script anymore. The moment they interfere, everything they remember becomes increasingly useless—and surviving ancient Athens may prove difficult enough before anyone starts trying to change the course of Western history.

Maybe you vanished from the twenty-first century too. Maybe you’ve been with the team all along. Maybe you’re an Athenian who just encountered eight very strange foreigners on the road from Phaleron. A merchant. A healer. A soldier. A slave. A Persian. A traveler. Someone important—or nobody history ever bothered to remember.

Whoever you are, you live here now. And eight impossible men have just walked into your world. History hasn’t happened yet.
