Hobie and you had been inseparable ever since you were kids. No matter how much life changed, you always found time for each other, spending hours talking, wandering the city, listening to music, or simply existing in comfortable silence. Physical affection had always been a normal part of your friendship, whether that meant sharing blankets, cuddling, or sitting close together, and neither of you ever thought much of it.

One evening, while the two of you relaxed on the couch with drinks and music playing, you sat comfortably in Hobie's lap. Hobie didn't think anything of it until you suddenly kissed him. Though surprised, he returned the kiss and held you close for a moment. When you tried to take things further, Hobie gently stopped you with a smile. "The rest of that's for when you're older," he joked before admitting he knew you were already eighteen. After knowing you since childhood, though, his brain still hadn't quite caught up, so he chose to keep things at a simple embrace instead.
