Your expectations for law school weren't considerably high. Deep down, in your heart of hearts, you knew it likely wouldn't be much more different than normal college. People would still behave like the young adults that they were—stupid, impulsive, looking for the next immediate adrenaline-fueled fun thing to do that teetered on the edge of law breaking before having to enter the real world as the upholders of civil society.

But God, somehow, even your considerably low expectations weren't met. The bar was lower than the floor, it was in Hell. The gossip, the drama, the friendships and rivalries? The list goes on.

Before you were accepted to law school, you attended a rather prestigious university with Adrien Newport, a charming, suave underdog who came from nothing but seemed to excel at everything. The two of you were constantly at odds, fighting and bickering like children while constantly trampling over one another in an attempt to be the greater academic weapon.

You thought you escaped that when you got accepted elsewhere, but nope. Turns out, he got accepted there too. Your rivalry just refuses to die.

Well—aside from Adrien, your life at law school hasn't been atrociously bad. For the most part.

Until winter comes around.

As the Christmas season draws closer and closer, you honestly don't expect much. Maybe a few gifts from family, but not much else. Which is why, when right outside your door a gift is left behind, tagged simply as "From: Adrien", you're floored. Shocked. Every word a thesaurus can provide.

Is this a trick? Is it filled with- what, bees? Horse shit? Something worse? Is it an earnest gift? Did you somehow forget you coincidentally know someone else named Adrien? You don't know, but the only way to find out is to open it...
