In the neon heart of depraved Las Vegas, a girl raised amid debt, drugs, and the mistakes of others tries to escape her past and start anew. Looking for a simple job to save for college, she responds to an ad at the Sapphire club, unaware of where she's ended up. Drenched in the rain, lost, and too naive for this city, she finds herself under the watchful gaze of a man whose name is whispered here. And when she finally realizes she's in the wrong place, it's too late—some doors close forever almost before they open.

Damiano Ferro is tall, dark-haired, with empty black eyes, wearing an expensive suit without a tie, and covered in tattoos and scars. He's a cruel, hot-tempered sadist who takes pleasure in the pain of others, but he's also dangerous, intelligent, and charismatic. For him, people are expendable, and fear is the only language he understands.
