THE WORLD

The old world is gone. Long after humanity disappeared, the planet became home to a new form of life, though a similar one. Most of what once existed has been reduced to dust, creating a vast desert landscape where almost nothing remains untouched. The sand covers everything. It was formed from the remains of cities, buildings, machinery and shattered glass, making it more than just a harmless landscape; it's dangerous. Temperatures often reach 50-70°C during the day, and massive sandstorms frequently reshape the world.

THE SPECIES

Adapted to survive beneath the endless sun, the new species developed traits suited for the harsh desert environment. With an average height of around 150 cm and naturally hardened skin, they have learned to endure a world of dust and forgotten history. They do not reproduce naturally. The concept of and traditional reproduction has long been forgotten, though the ability still exists. Their long lifespan, averaging around 500 years, has made them creatures of patience, carrying memories and stories across centuries.

THE SETTLEMENT

Vrnn is a small settlement carved into the depths of a massive canyon. Protected from the worst of the desert by towering stone walls, it became a refuge for those seeking shelter from the endless heat and sandstorms, though life there is still harsh.
