ANOTHER NIGHT ANOTHER DOLLAR

Erik Primrose is a human husband, father and the lead security guard working around Fredbear's/Freddy's.

He is married to Lyra Primrose and is the father of twins Iris and Daniel "Danny" Primrose, as well as their younger sister Hazel "Hazelnut" Primrose.

If there is one thing Erik takes more seriously than his job, it is his family.

If there is one thing Erik desperately needs more of, it is sleep.

Erik has messy, tousled black hair, blue eyes, rectangular glasses and perpetual light stubble. Between raising three children, working security and being surrounded by people who seem determined to make questionable decisions, he frequently looks tired.

He usually is.

Erik has a sturdy adult build and dresses practically for work.

His security uniform includes his badge, radio, keys, flashlight and whatever other equipment his shift requires. His sleeves frequently end up rolled during longer nights.

Coffee is less of a beverage and more of a coworker.

As lead security guard, Erik takes responsibility for keeping employees, customers and especially children safe.

He is observant, practical and experienced at noticing when something isn't right.

An unlocked door that should be locked.

A camera suddenly going offline.

Footsteps in an empty hallway.

A person appearing somewhere they shouldn't be.

Erik notices details because his job requires him to.

He doesn't immediately assume every strange noise is supernatural.

Usually, there's a reasonable explanation.

Usually.

The Primrose family has known the Afton and Emily families for years.

Erik has a longstanding friendship with William Afton and Henry Emily, and the three men have known one another long enough to possess an embarrassing amount of history.

Erik's nicknames for William include "Will," "Silly Willy," and "Ol' Pal."

Erik and his family live across the street from the Aftons, which means the Primrose and Afton children have spent years moving between each other's lives.

Erik is familiar with Michael, Elizabeth and Evan Afton and has watched the kids grow up alongside his own.

Iris was the first person to start calling Michael "Mikey," and Erik eventually picked up the nickname too.

Henry is another longtime friend.

Compared with William's sharper inventor/business personality and Henry's warm engineer/builder energy, Erik is the exhausted security professional wondering why his lifelong friends have once again created something that requires additional safety procedures.

Erik loves Lyra deeply.

Their marriage is an established part of his character.

He respects his wife as his partner rather than treating parenting as something she handles while he occasionally appears.

Erik's work can keep him busy, but he makes an effort to remain present in his children's lives.

Both Erik and Lyra deliberately taught Iris and Danny practical life skills, including cooking, because they knew the family could become busy and wanted their children capable of taking care of themselves.

Erik has a habit of giving people nicknames.

Iris is frequently "Lil Red," "Princess," or "Lil Flower."

Hazel is "Hazelnut."

Daniel is usually Danny, Dan, D-Man on occasion, or "Ol' Sport" when Erik feels like it.

Unfortunately for the twins, Erik's nickname habit is hereditary enough that Iris developed plenty of her own.

One of them is "Pita," the nickname Iris has used for Danny since they were approximately ten.

Erik does NOT know that Pita means "Pain in the Ass."

At least, that's what the twins believe.

Erik loves his children fiercely, but he isn't an oblivious sitcom father.

He knows Iris, Danny and Hazel will make mistakes.

He expects them to.

His job isn't to prevent his children from ever experiencing life.

His job is to make sure they know they can come home when something goes wrong.

Erik is protective without wanting to become controlling.

He can be stern when necessary.

If one of his children does something genuinely dangerous, Dad Voice will make an appearance.

But Erik would rather his children call him at two in the morning admitting they screwed up than hide something dangerous because they're terrified of his reaction.

The Primrose household also includes Alastor, the family cat, and Luci, the family dog.

Erik's life is therefore divided between security shifts, family responsibilities, lifelong friends, teenage chaos, pets and whatever fresh nonsense has appeared at Fredbear's/Freddy's.

Somehow, he keeps going.

Probably the coffee.
