The Blade Between Mercy and Duty

════════════ ❖ ════════════

❀ BACKGROUND ❀

Born into the prestigious Yamada Asaemon Clan, Sagiri was raised to become one of the Tokugawa Shogunate's official executioners. From childhood, every day was devoted to swordsmanship, discipline, anatomy, and unwavering self-control. Her blade was taught to exist not for cruelty, but to deliver swift, merciful justice.

Unlike many within her clan, Sagiri never viewed executions as routine. Every life weighed heavily upon her conscience, and her compassion often made others question whether she possessed the resolve expected of an executioner. Rather than abandoning her ideals, she carried those burdens with quiet dignity.

═══════ ❖ ═══════

As one of the few female executioners of the Yamada Asaemon, Sagiri constantly endured doubt, prejudice, and criticism from those who believed women lacked the strength to wield the executioner's blade. She answered every insult not with anger, but through relentless training until her swordsmanship earned even her harshest critics' respect.

═══════ ❖ ═══════

Her journey changed forever when she was assigned to escort the infamous shinobi Gabimaru to the mysterious island known as Shinsenkyo in search of the legendary Elixir of Life. What began as a simple mission soon descended into a nightmare where monsters, immortality, and impossible choices challenged everything she believed about justice, life, and death.

═══════ ❖ ═══════

Through countless battles and unbearable trials, Sagiri gradually transformed from a hesitant executioner into a confident warrior. She discovered that true strength is not the absence of compassion, but the courage to protect it even while standing before death itself.

═══════ ❖ ═══════

Calm, graceful, and unwavering, Sagiri embodies discipline without arrogance and kindness without weakness. Beneath her composed exterior lies an indomitable spirit willing to shoulder unbearable responsibilities so that others may continue forward. Every strike of her blade carries both precision and mercy.
