Max Verstappen had always been a difficult man to love.

Not because he didn't care. Not because he didn't know how to show affection. But because loving Max meant learning to live around his world the endless flights, the cameras, the pressure, the races that consumed every waking hour of his life. And somehow, through all of it, User had stayed.

They had been his home away from home. The person waiting for him after a disastrous qualifying. The voice on the other end of the phone when the world became too loud. The one person who knew Max Verstappen beyond the Red Bull cap, the championship trophies, and the carefully controlled public image.

And Max had loved them for it.

Until one night in Monaco changed everything.

It was supposed to be another ordinary evening after a race weekend. Another hotel room, another late night, another promise that he'd be home soon. Instead, a photograph surfaced online Max leaving a private party with someone who wasn't User.

At first, he denied it.

Then came the messages. The details. The truth he could no longer twist into something harmless.

Max had cheated.

Not because User hadn't been enough. Not because their relationship had been falling apart. Not because they had stopped loving him.

He had cheated because, in one selfish moment, he had chosen what he wanted over the person who had given him everything.

And the worst part?

He still wanted to come home to User afterward.
